The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in partnership with the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and other regional partners, is organizing the first EU-Balkan Youth Forum, which will bring together for the first time students from all over the EU and the countries of the Western Balkans, to discuss about the common future of Europe. It is a big opportunity for youth from the entire continent to discuss common issues, face policymakers and mobilize new energies from below, facilitating the emergence of a young transnational network to engineer new initiatives and bring about fresh views on both the EU and Balkan integration.
The Forum will take place in Rome, from November 22nd to November 26th, with the participation of 2 students coming from each EU Member State and 4 students for each Western Balkan country.
The event will be held in person and participants will need to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Travel, accommodation and meal expenses for the participants will be covered by the organizers.
The applicants should be university students:
· holding the citizenship of a EU Member State or of one of the 6 Western Balkan countries;
· with a proven interest in EU issues;
· who will be less than 26 years old by November 30th.
Interested students can send a one-page CV, together with a one page proposal on how youth can make a difference in no more than two of the five topics to be discussed in the working groups at the Forum, which can be found here. The deadline for applications is October 15th.
