Call for Applications: The Alfred Landecker Democracy Fellowship

>> A one-year part-time Fellowship for young professionals who create innovative solutions for the challenges to democracy and society in the context of COVID-19.

From October 2020, we will bring together 30 change-makers who receive training, a stipend and seed funding to implement projects that reinvent democratic spaces. 

>> Whom we look for:

We look for candidates who propose projects that will have a meaningful impact. Fellows must be based in any EU member state, the United Kingdom or the United States. They should be no older than 40 years and show a strong record of civic engagement and leadership experience in their fields.

>> What we offer:

Once accepted to the program, the Fellows will build a unique community and receive support through a stipend of 10.000 Euro as well as project seed funding of 5.000 Euro. Throughout the year, our 30 Fellows will participate in a virtual training program as well as in-person action academies (Berlin, March 2021 and Amsterdam, May 2021).

There couldn’t be a more critical moment to task a diverse group of change-makers with strengthening democracy and justice. It takes fresh ideas and the drive of young leaders to fight the injustices so prevalent in our societies. The time to act is now. We are grateful to the Alfred Landecker Foundation for the trust and support which enables us to expand our programs in support of those who are creating more equitable societies.
